Chris lost his Yak in the high reeds due a servo failure Sunday, 11/9/2014.  Darkness ended the hour long search by Boyd Meier, Chris Meredith and Pete De La Cruz.

Les Hatton and Mike Cappo of the Beaumont club arrived Monday morning armed with a DJI Flame Wheel multi-rotor and First Person View (FPV) gear.  They found the plane in less that 3 minutes with the video feed from the multi-rotor’s camera.  After marking the spot the marched out and collected Chris’ intact plane.  Looks like the left aileron servo was part of the problem that caused the crash.

A lunch at Fast Freddy’s with the Les and Mike ended the successful morning.

Thanks to Les Hatton and Mike Capo!
